On this Ascension Sunday, we remember that Christ did not merely depart; He ascended to His rightful throne as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, ruling with absolute authority over every sphere of creation right now. This is not a distant, spiritualized metaphor, but the objective reality of the gospel that demands total submission from every individual, household, and nation. The tragedy of our age is that two generations of Christians have been cowed into a cowardly, neutered silence, allowing the enemies of God to dismantle our civilization while they mistakenly assume that politics can be secular or neutral. There is no neutrality; it is either the law of God or the law of the enemy. If your knowledge of the gospel does not produce repentance and consistent, courageous application in your home, your work, and your political life, then it is nothing more than information serving to condemn you. We must reject the pagan idolatry of this secular era, build parallel structures of faith, and train a generation that is not afraid to be “weird” in the eyes of the world, understanding that the only path to national restoration is to boldly carry out the King’s command to disciple the nations and bring all things into obedience to Him.
