The Christian life is not a solo pursuit but a call to absolute unity through the Word of God. As the Corinthian church discovered, division, pride, and spiritual immaturity are the inevitable consequences of allowing worldly wisdom to infect the body of believers. You must reject the false autonomy that characterizes our dying pagan culture and instead anchor your entire worldview in the authority of Scripture. It is not enough to simply possess the Bible; you must be daily transformed by it, recognizing that any attempt to pick and choose which parts of God’s Word to obey is a lie that breeds compromise and spiritual rot.
Unity among the brethren is your responsibility, maintained by humility and a shared submission to the Lordship of Christ. Remember that you are not the author of your own life, but an instrument in the hands of the Builder. Just as Christ humbled Himself, setting aside all privilege to serve, you are commanded to love your brothers and sisters with that same sacrificial resolve. Guard your families, test your leaders against the objective standard of the Word, and refuse to conform to the culture around you. True strength is found in our collective faithfulness to the Gospel, setting aside personal preferences to prioritize the glory of Christ and the edification of the body.
