Sermon Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1-11
The Gospel is not merely a ticket to heaven; it is the transformative power that changes every single aspect of your existence, from how you view your enemies to how you handle your own household. We live in an era captivated by the “immediacy fallacy,” where modern secularists and the emasculated church think they can improve upon the wisdom of the past by discarding the absolute truth of God. This mindset is fundamentally rooted in the destructive ideology of feminism and the secularist lie that we are merely atoms in motion, beholden to no objective law. You must understand that this rebellion against God’s order is exactly what Paul was fighting against in Corinth, and it is precisely the poison destroying our own nation today.
The remedy is to be daily reminded of the Gospel of first importance: Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. When you truly embrace this, your pride—that childish, selfish obsession with your own status—must die. You were a wretched sinner deserving only the wrath of God, and yet you have been redeemed by the blood of Christ. This truth should humble you to the point where you no longer treat your spouse, your children, or your fellow saints as enemies to be conquered or inconveniences to be managed. If your life is built upon the Gospel, it will manifest in a radical commitment to peace, a joyful surrender to God’s assignments, and a fierce, unshakeable devotion to the truth, regardless of the cost.
